The catastrophic impact plastic is having on the environment is not new information. Yet it remains to be a really difficult thing to get rid of because to a certain extent the modern lifestyle relies on plastic to function.
This month Little Eco Baby is committed to Plastic Free July.® If you're unaware, Plastic Free July is a global movement that helps millions of people be part of the solution to plastic pollution – so we can have cleaner streets, oceans, and beautiful communities.
Personally we have committed to avoiding single-use plastic packaging, refusing takeaway items like bags, straws and cups. We will consciously avoid as much plastic as possible!
Little Eco Baby is a committed plastic free business. Reducing plastic waste in intertwined into every decision we make. We choose to focus our energy into forming good habits. So, we only use repurposed or reused satchels and boxes or fully compostable courier satchels. We're solar powered and offset the rest of our carbon emissions. This is our choice to be a business that advocates for mindful consumption in a mindful lifestyle.
Our newest range of nappies and future products are made with recycled PET fabrics. We will source our rPET materials from Plastic Bank facilities to help stop ocean plastic and improve collector lives in vulnerable coastal communities.
We already create minimal fabric waste with our factories, but are planning a new (top secret) design that will utilise any fabric offcuts.
Changing the world can feel complicated, but everyday decisions do make a difference. Shop with a clean conscience knowing that Little Eco Baby contributes to empowering coastal communities and stopping ocean-bound plastic waste before it pollutes our precious planet.
