FAQs
Our Easy Snap Modern Cloth Nappies come in two parts. A heat bonded polyester waterproof shell made from recycled post consumer plastic bottles and micro suede. The absorbent inserts are made from bamboo viscose which is known for it's fast absorption, is extremely soft and feels great against a baby’s skin.
Every baby is different but generally our modern cloth nappies need to be changed every 3 hours.
Dry pailing is a nappy storage solution where dirty nappies are stored without any water or lid. A dry pail system works well to allow air to circulate inside the container, this prevents odours and the build up of harmful bacteria. We recommend rinsing and wringing out used nappies before placing them in the dry pail and storing it in a light filled position with lots of air flowing around it. Nappies can be stored this way for up to 4 days.
It’s really easy! Simply as you normally would. If you happen to be near a toilet, tip any #2’s in (if not, just skip this part), before rolling up your nappy, fasten with a snap. Store dirty nappies in your provided waterproof wet bag until you get home, rinse and dry pail as per usual.
Yes if you feel it’s necessary, but please remember if barrier creams come in contact with the nappy they can penetrate the fibres and effect the absorbency. It is always necessary to use a liner for this reason. Nappy liners protect the nappy from faeces and barrier creams.
Generally nappy rash is resolved by using cloth nappies. However if nappy rash is an issue, we suggest more frequent nappy changes, especially as soon as the nappy gets soiled. Encourage extra nappy off time and ensure your baby’s bottom is completely dry before putting on a clean nappy. Use a barrier cream to soothe and block moisture from reaching the skin.
Check out our online support. If you are still having difficulties please try some troubleshooting tips: Check that the nappy is nice and snug. Make sure that all the absorbent parts of the nappy are tucked in and only the waterproof outer layer is visible. Make sure that your baby’s clothes aren’t too tight around the nappy area – low cut waistbands, press stud singlets and tight pants can be problems. You may need to go up a size if things are getting a bit soggy. Sometimes all that’s needed is assembling your nappy a little differently.
